Like Team-Control, Team-Control On-line is a computer document management system used via an Internet browser (client/server system).
The tool enables easy storage and exchange of documents for a collaborative project between different businesses or workgroups. This collaboration revolves around a continually active website, accessible to the various contributors involved irrespective of their geographical location.
When a project or dossier is closed and validated as such, it is archived. Data archiving (all data present on the Team-Control On-line site) will be carried out by TEKNO and sent on CD/DVD or via FTP according to the client’s wishes.
The project can subsequently be imported and reintegrated into Team-Control easily and whenever required
Upon installation, five user accounts are available for each of the partners or subsidiaries of the business with access to the project. A “project manager” account is activated and enables various users to be added. The project manager fills in the description of the project and assigns appropriate access rights to the users. The project manager enjoys full rights.
The solution allows for adding additional groups of users (for each group of 5 clients) according to the needs of the project.
Managing the various contributors involved and the general information about the businesses taking part in the project is handled at the same time as the document management. This makes it possible to combine information on the different people, businesses or bodies that can be contacted as part of the project.
Implementation of Team-Control On-line is carried out after an analysis of needs, where the following are covered:
Upon completion of this step, implementation takes place by means of hosting the system on a protected, dedicated website (specific Internet domain). 1.5 GB of space (extendible to 3.0 GB) is made available to users as a collaborative workspace, with initial activation of two groups of 5 users.
Maintenance of the site is provided by TEKNO for the entire duration of the project, including any necessary changes to the file naming system.
